BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 Rolling Out In February

At today’s post-Classic event Q&A, BlackBerry confirmed N4BB’s exclusive report that the newest OS update, 10.3.1, will be available for in-market devices in February of 2015. Chen was asked directly about current devices and this 10.3.1 update directly. He stated there was no specific schedule for each device, and yielded the question to BlackBerry President of Devices, Ron Louks, who then explicitly said, “February.”

Obviously, these updates depend on carrier approval, so we’re not exactly sure to whom this date applies to. Odds are Canadian carriers and some that adopt new OSes fairly quickly will have the update available then, while others may have to wait a bit longer.
