Future iOS 8 update from Apple might let you customize Control Center options

Currently, the order in which features appear on the Apple Control Center, and which features you can turn on and off, cannot be changed. Yes, the Control Center quickly lets you enable or disable the Airplane Mode, turn on or off Bluetooth and handle other functions such as the Portrait Orientation Lock. Now, an internal menu in iOS 8 reveals that users will eventually get the opportunity to customize the order of the items in the Control Center. In addition, users will also get to decide exactly which features are included in the short cut and which are not.

There is no guarantee that Apple will ever release the customizable controls that will allow users to manipulate the order of the shortcuts seen in the Control Center. The internal menu was outed in a couple of tweets sent out by Hamza Sood.

Sood points out that there could be Control Center short cuts for apps like the flashlight, timer, calculator and the camera. And another shortcut would allow you to start screen recording from the Control Center. If Apple decides to send this out to iDevice users, some expect it won't be in users' hands until Apple sends out iOS 8.1, whenever that will take place.
